Mini DXpedtion with two 19-year-old beginners in Chigasaki park.

茅ヶ崎公園で若手と一緒にミニDXペディション

 　We, 7 members of Totsuka DXer's Circle conducted a mini DXpedition with two 19-year-old beginners in Chigasaki park on May 26.  It was sweltering, and the temperature seemed to be around 30-degree centigrade. We enjoyed catching FM radio and citizen band communication by a sporadic E propagation and of course, MW DXing.

　戸塚DXer's サークルの7名が茅ヶ崎公園で行ったミニDXペディションに二人の若手が参加してくれました。とても暑い日でしたが、Eスポ伝搬によるFM局の受信や、CB無線の交信、そしてもちろんMW DXも楽しみました。

　We were happy to meet them. We are satisfied with their flesh ”Wow!!" for every DXing from MW to VHF band.

　若い人のDX受信に対するフレッシュな驚きの声に我々も満足したと同時に、彼らに会えて良かったと思った次第。

A sporadic E propagation between Tokyo and Okinawa was really stable, and we could hear Ryukyu Hoso FM (RBCi radio) on 92.1MHz and AFN-Okinawa on 89.1MHz etc.　We really enjoyed listening to them. 

　沖縄方面のEスポ伝搬が大変良好で、琉球放送FM（RBCiラジオ）92.1MHz、AFN-沖縄89.1MHzが長時間良好に聞こえていました。持参したRADIWOWのR-108のホイップアンテナだけで良好に受信することが出来ました。

  Finally, we concluded this mini DX-pedition by MW-DXing. The sunset time was around 19:00. So we started concentrating on listening to each SDR from 18:00. All regular MW DX stations in Guam island came up first, and we could hear Australian private MW station 4RO on 990kHz very well after the signal level of NHK1(Kochi) on the same frequency slowly diminished with fading. We could hear 4RO's ID very clearly. You can hear " 9-90 4RO The talk of central Queensland". in the video below.

　さて、最後はMW DXですが、流石に日の入りが19時近いため、まともに聞きこんだのは18時過ぎてからでした。グアムの常連局が聞こえ始めると、しばらくして990kHzオーストラリア中波局の4RO（50kW）がNHK1(高知)が弱くなったと同時に強くなり、IDを押さえることができました。 "9-90 4RO The talk of central Queensland" と出ています。

　19時過ぎに皆で手際良く撤収作業を終わらせた後、近くのファミレスで夕食を楽しみ、解散となりました。また是非やりたいですね。
